It is the desire of Conway Christian School to provide all students with several significant field trips during their Elementary, Middle, and High School years. The purposes of these trips are: spiritual, educational, social and recreational. The trips will be planned and chaperoned by members of the Board of Directors and/or school faculty and staff. While these trips are voluntary, all students will be enthusiastically encouraged to participate and to make the most of these unique and perhaps once-in-a-lifetime experiences. In an effort to keep parent/student expenditures to a minimum, the classes involved will participate in a variety of fundraising projects designed to offset the cost involved.
These trips will be:
Grade 4: Columbia-State House visit
Grade 5: Fort Fisher/Southport Aquarium
Grade 6: Charleston-Fort Sumter, Patriots Point & Naval Museum
Grade 8 and 11: Washington, D.C.,
Grade 12: Europe, primarily Great Britain and France
Elementary classes take two field trips per year. Students are required to be at school on time on the day following a field trip.
First grade at Coastal Carolina University after watching a play.
Second Grade at the Bazen’s pond.
Fifth Grade at Aquarium at Fort Fisher in Southport, N.C.
Sixth grade at Fort Sumter in Charleston, S.C.
Eighth Grade in front of Capital Building in Washington, D.C.
